Name : Neil Wilkinson
Lives : Rubery, Birmingham
Methods : Waggler, pole, whip.
Favourite Venue : Im in a small syndicate which is private and contains, carp well into double digits, perch, bream, roach, rudd, dace, chub and gudgeon, all of which are wild and can be very hard to catch. Although Im not a great fan of commercial fisheries they do have benefits, they are generally well stocked and the fish are plentiful. Ones Ive fished in the last few months lavender hall Coventry, woodland view Droitwich, tunnel barn shrewley, astwood fishery stoke prior, the jam factory lower broad heath. .
Coaches Tips : Speak to your coach about your particular fishing needs they will be able to help you out selecting the right tackle thats suitable for you, nothing worse than Spending a large amount of money only to find out that its too heavy for you, (A pole at 11 meters long is very heavy even in carbon fibre could you hold it for a couple of hours?) Or even buying simple things like nets I know of at least one shop that sold a friend large landing nets that had been banned several years ago and useless for fishing. Barbed hooks/pole rigs being sold again usless on most fisheries.
Never only take one type of bait or one method of fishing. Sometimes a bait you used last time with great success wont work the next time you go fishing, so bring at least a mix of baits, maggots, worms, pellets, paste, meat, sweetcorn and even artificial baits the bigger the variety of baits the greater chance of success in your fishing. Why only take a float rod, pole or feeder rod if you can take them all.
